Zebalsen, the drow city said to lay deep beneath The Kingdom of Soria, is a place of darkness, danger, and intrigue. The city is carved out of the living rock, and its streets and buildings twist and turn in an intricate maze that can easily confuse even the most skilled adventurer.
The drow who inhabit Zebalsen are a cunning and ruthless people, always looking for ways to gain power and advance their own interests. They are skilled warriors, but also excel at magic and deception, using their dark powers to control those around them.
The city itself is a wonder to behold, with towering stalagmite spires and intricate architecture that rivals the most beautiful surface cities. However, the beauty of Zebalsen is belied by the danger that lurks around every corner. Watchful guards, enslaved monsters, and assassins are common dangers in the city, and one must always be on guard to avoid falling victim to the many dangers of the Underdark.
Despite the danger, Zebalsen is a center of trade and commerce in the Underdark, and many rare and valuable items can be found in its markets and bazaars. However, one must be careful when dealing with the drow, as their deals are often more treacherous than they first appear.
In the center of the city lies the Lolths Grand Temple, not only home to the ruler of Zebalsen and her court but also the central power for Lolths domination over the drow in the region.
