The Arena Macabre is a large, circular arena placed inside a square colosseum. The ground is a mix of hard-packed sand and larger rough stone, and the walls of the arena rise about 20 feet high and are made of rune-inscribed black onyx. Spectator sits around the arena floor on all sides, with drow nobles and commoners alike watching the spectacle from their respective spots. The central area of the arena is relatively open, with some scattered rocks and debris providing limited cover. A floating platform hovers in the middle where the Arena Mistress can comentate and spectate the onging battles. Hidden gates in the walls and underground platforms allows beasts and competitors to enter the arena.
