Cryssalix was known to have a particular fondness for gems and precious metals, which she hoarded in her icy lair rumoured to be in the Bador mountainss.
Many stories and legends were told of Cryssalix, and most who encountered her never lived to tell the tale. She was said to be able to freeze anything in her path with a single breath, and her razor-sharp claws and teeth could rend even the toughest armor. Her piercing gaze was said to freeze the blood of any who met her gaze, and her roar was like thunder on a clear day.
Despite her fearsome reputation, Cryssalix was not without her weaknesses. She was known to have a bit of a temper and could be easily provoked. She also had a weakness for flattery and would sometimes be swayed by smooth-talking adventurers who knew how to charm her.
In the end, Cryssalix met her match in Lamien the Crusher, a member of the Champions of the Ankh She demanded a toll for allowing the airship the Flying Ducksman to pass through her domain, but Lamien refused to pay. The ensuing battle was fierce, and both combatants were badly wounded, but in the end, Lamien emerged victorious, slaying Cryssalix
