The Deathless Tundra is a barren and frigid expanse of frozen wasteland that stretches for miles on the eastern side of Iron Maw. The harsh environment is known for its bitterly cold winds, treacherous ice sheets, and frequent blizzards that can disorient even the most seasoned travelers. The ground is covered in a layer of permafrost, making it difficult for vegetation to take root, and the few hardy plants that do grow here are stunted and gnarled.
The region is named for the strange and eerie phenomenon where the dead do not seem to rest in peace. Legends say that the frigid cold and powerful magic that permeates the area causes the dead to rise as undead creatures, relentlessly pursuing any living beings that cross their path. This has led to the local tribes burning their dead to prevent them from joining the ranks of the undead.
At the eastern edge of the tundra, there is a sheer cliff face that overlooks the fogfilled valley where Edencross once were: The Glowfall bog. The top of the cliff is adorned with primitive warding stones that have been placed there by the local tribes to protect against the undead that are said to roam the area. Despite the danger, the Deathless Tundra serves as an important natural barrier, protecting the goliaths of The Kingdom of Soria from the cursed lands beyond.
