Being the descendant of a long line of Necromancers, Violetta has known nothing but turmoil in her life. The towns people speaking of witches, raiding their family home. Losing her mother and father to an angry mob. Violetta eventually struck a deal with the Spirit of the Swamps. If she protected the shrine, the Spirit would shroud their home from hostile view. But eventually, Violetta fell in love. A beautiful woman she found wandering the swamps one Sunday morning in the spring, they spoke and had a wonderful time. She introduced herself as Lumia Once Lumia had to leave, Violetta couldn't get her mind off the woman.
Going to the same spot the next day, she would not find Lumia. So she went again Tuesday, and then Wednesday. Doing so for an entire week, where she would find Lumia again on Sunday. This continued for months, eventually Violetta invited Lumia into her house and introduced her to magic. Training her in the ways of necromancy. The rest is history. Eventually adopting Jenny McClutskey, they created their own family.
