Samael and his younger brother Baal were born to the Mother of creation, She gifted her children nigh-omnipotence and nigh-omniscience and gave them the world of Enoria to look over. As the result of a different point of view, Samael and Baal constantly bickered to a point where they declared war on one another. Samael became ruler of the Firmament, while Baal became master of the lowers depths, namely Hell.
Samael was once a beautiful celestial with a heart full of love and compassion. However, he became disillusioned with the limitations of mortality, and began to see death as the only true release for their suffering. Samael's wings are black as night with fiery tints that almost seems like its smoldering.
He created the Seraphim in his own image to help him in his conquest of Enoria. He delights in causing destruction and death, and sees it as a means to an end. Samael has little regard for human life, and will do whatever it takes to achieve his goals. Over time, his heart became hardened, and he began to take pleasure in the suffering of others. Despite his wickedness, Samael still believes that he is doing what is necessary to free humanity from the cycle of pain and suffering, and sees himself as a bringer of peace rather than a harbinger of death.
