Samurai was born and raised in Night City, a place that he has come to know and love. He grew up on the streets and learned quickly that the only way to survive in this world was to be tough and street-smart. As he got older, he turned to the mercenary life as a way to make a living.
He gained a reputation as a ruthless and effective solo, and his skills caught the attention of a powerful corporate agent who recruited him for a secret mission. The agent, known only as "The Director," offered Samurai a large sum of money and access to advanced cybernetic technology in exchange for his services.
Samurai completed the mission, but he soon realized that The Director and the corporation he worked for were not to be trusted. He saw firsthand the lengths they were willing to go to maintain their power and control, and he began to question his involvement in their schemes.
Feeling betrayed and disillusioned, Samurai decided to strike out on his own. He became a solo for hire, taking on jobs that aligned with his own moral code and rejecting those that didn't. He earned a reputation as a skilled and untrusting mercenary, known for his quick reflexes and lethal accuracy with a blade.
