"Dark Crow"
Alightment: Neutral Evil
Occupation: Unseelie Archfey of Darklings
Ancient legends speak of a seelie fey who betrayed the Summer Queen. His true name has been stricken from history, but the stories call him Dubh Catha (“Dark Crow” in Common). So great was the Summer Queen’s wrath that she cursed every member of his house. Other fey refer to the descendants of Dubh Catha’s house as the dubh sith — or, in Common, “darklings.” Darklings most often settle in secluded caverns and chambers beneath the towns of other species. From such enclaves, they quietly ply their trade as thieves and assassins.
Dark Crow is an archfey with a nasty temperament and a propensity for eye-gouging and back-biting. He was one of the fey to rise up with Tiandra only to betray her at the first offer from the Queen of Air and Darkness in exchange for control over his people's ancestral home and the Fortress of Sorrow. When the Court of Stars finally rose above the Unseelie Court's rule and the Prince of Frost removed him from his throne, Dark Crow's short-term victory turned to ashes in his mouth. He was bound to his family's keep, his clan was cursed, turned into Dubh Sidhe (the Darklings) and his name was erased from all the minds, books, and worldly records by a vengeful Tiandra.
Dubh Catha, the Dark Crow, now sits in his crumbling keep, waiting for the day when the sun shines through the dilapidated roof and finally ends his life. Until then, he offers what power he has to outsiders, growing more desperate by the day for a way to escape his curse.
