His vassal has amused him with their recent attempts to learn music.

Lunar Observations: As an Ancient Lunar Dragon, Shanneth has a deep fascination with the moon and its celestial cycles. He has a habit of observing and studying the lunar phases, documenting their patterns and effects on the world around him. He finds solace in spending quiet nights under the moonlit sky, contemplating its mysteries.

He is protective and territorial, guarding his Moons and keeping other Dragon influences, especially of the Solar variety, at bay. The reason for this is twofold. Firstly, Solar Dragons tend to be more aggressive and confrontational than Lunar Dragons, and their presence can disrupt the balance of power in the Astral Sea. Secondly, the Foreverstar has a particular distaste for Solar Dragons due to their tendency to interfere with other Dragon's affairs, which he considered beneath the dignity of his kind.

To keep Solar Dragons out of his territory, he employs a number of strategies. He has established a network of magical scouts who monitor the borders of his domain and reveal any signs of Solar Dragon activity. He also used his mastery of the local terrain and his magic to create barriers and obstacles that are difficult for Solar Dragons, or Spelljammer ships, to navigate. If Solar Dragons do venture into his territory, he is quick to respond with force while they are weak away from their Sun lairs. His longstanding reputation guarantees that Lunar Dragons respect his boundaries and give them a wide berth.

While he does not interfere with mortals or protect them, Shanneth has observed their lives with interest, often watching them from afar. He is fascinated by their complexity and the fleeting nature of their existence. However, he rarely interacts with them directly, preferring to remain an observer. Due to his solitary nature, Shanneth has not experienced loss in the same way that other creatures have. He has seen countless species come and go in the Wildspaces he has traveled, but his immortality has allowed him to weather these changes with relative ease.

Shanneth Ruahir has a close and unique connection with his female immortal Astral Elf vassal, Myst. They first met centuries ago, when Myst was still a young elf when he didn't eat her for delving into his Moon lair. Their bond is built on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. Myst is the only being that Shanneth has allowed to enter his territory without hesitation or reservation. They complement each other well. Shanneth is reserved, cautious, and methodical, while Myst is more spontaneous, curious, and outgoing. Myst's extroverted nature often brings out a more relaxed side of Shanneth, allowing him to let his guard down and be more open with her.

Shanneth Ruahir's combat skills are highly refined, as he has been honing them for centuries. As an Ancient Lunar Dragon, he possesses exceptional strength and durability, particularly during his solid-black phase. He is unfazed by cold and has superior vision that is not affected by either darkness or light spells, giving him an advantage in battle.

Shanneth's breath weapon is a cone of black frost that damages enemies and can also harden around them, slowing or even entombing his foes in blackened ice. In addition to this, he can become partially incorporeal, making him immune to physical damage. As a Lunar Dragon, Shanneth also possesses several spell-like abilities, including the ability to create light, darkness, Melf's minute meteors, repulsion, and reverse gravity.

Shanneth uses his fangs, claws, tail, and wings as weapons in combat, but he considers mere "brawling" beneath him. He prefers to rely on his breath weapon and spell-like abilities to defeat his enemies from behind his scaled shielding tail. He is a skilled fighter who can anticipate his opponents' moves and react quickly to counter them. Shanneth is not one to take unnecessary risks in battle and is always aware of his surroundings, ready to defend his territory at a moment's notice.

Shanneth's Moon lair is strategically designed to provide him with a heavy advantage in combat. The lair is located in a large cavern that is only accessible through a narrow tunnel. The tunnel is protected by several traps that are difficult to disarm, making it very challenging for an enemy to enter the lair. There are also an incredible amount of magical traps that have been set from his hoard, including Lycanthrope summoning items and other magical artifacts for his use.

Inside the lair, there are many large stalactites and stalagmites that provide cover for Shanneth during combat. Shanneth is also able to use his powers of darkness to create areas of magical darkness, which can obscure his enemies' vision and make it easier for him to ambush them. Additionally, the lair has several natural hot springs that Shanneth has learned to use to his advantage in combat. By manipulating the temperature of the water, he can create clouds of steam that can obscure his movements and make it difficult for enemies to target him accurately.
