Clan Deathhand looks into the "Guts of the World." They reside in the Deep-Bleed Caverns, a network of bioluminescent tunnels that sit dangerously close to the "Bedrock" of the Tora prison.
Among Orcs, the Deathhands are whispered about with a mix of fear and reverence. They are the keepers of the dead and the gaolers of the things that leak in from the Outside.
The Grave-Watchers
The Deathhands believe that their purpose is to act as the Anvil. If a prison is meant to hold demons, the Deathhands are the ones who live in the "cell block" to make sure the bars stay bolted.
- Appearance: They are the most physically striking of the Orcs. Their skin is often a deep, bruised purple or charcoal grey due to generations away from the sun. They use "Glow-Paint" made from crushed mushrooms to mark their bodies with skeletal patterns that pulse in the dark.
- The Philosophy of the Deep: They view life as a brief flicker of heat in an eternal cold. They don't fear death; they see it as "Joining the Foundation."
Clan Culture: The "Rite of the Quiet Mind"
To be accepted as a Deathhand warrior, one must spend a week in total darkness and silence in the "Chamber of Echoes." Many go mad; those who emerge are forever changed, gaining the ability to sense life-force (Lifesense 10ft).
