Kainwyth was a Cloud Giant
Kainwyth was bottom of the Ordning among the Cloud Giants, and served primarily as an assistant for Calindra. He sought primoarily to raise his own station by attempting (and usually failing) to disrupt and subvert the other Cloud Giants. Given that that usually did not work out for him, Kainwyth shifted towards assisting Calindra with maintaining her status and helping her however he can with her arcane and extraplanar studies.
Kainwyth did not have much to offer, aside from his connection with Calindra. He ran a small materials storefront out of a shed off to the side of Calindra's estate, selling spell components and other mundane items.
Kainwyth had been at the bottom of the Ordning amongst the Cloud Giants of the Isles of Reus for a long time. Most recently, he attempted to increase his station by gambling with Vortessa. Failing that, he was cursed to wear only an elaborate Egyptian-style headdress.
After Nesdin freed the real Calindra from inside the Solithar Shard, Kainwyth was freed from his near-nudist curse and returned to serving Calindra, retaining his fancy headdress despite it being a reminder of Vortessa's curse.
