6 months ago, Elizabeth Whitehall showed up in Hargrave and started buying property, and started giving favors to the Hargrave kindred, particularly neonates. Not much is known of her time before this.
After the disappearance of former prince Houghton III 3 months ago, presumably to the beckoning, a ventrue justicar (international camarilla 'peacekeeper') decided Elizabeth will take Houghton's place, much to the dismay of many elders in the city. The justicar did not give reasons for this.
She cares little for the the old hierarchies and is willing to give neonates a chance, making her popular with them, and unpopular with the older vampires like the primogen. She also believes in keeping your humanity through consentual feeding, or at least as humanely as possible, though doesn't force this on anyone. Those who are very concerned with keeping the masquerade protest this, and say it's a breach waiting to happen.
