Chondalwood is a large forest located in the nation of Chondath next to the Sea of Fallen Stars. It is also known as Satyrwood.
Troops of satyrs once patrolled the roads, scaring travelers into making haste out of the forest or to go around it, and the forest was also inhabited by voadkyn (wood giants) and centaurs. Savage druids lived in the forest and posed a threat to anyone approaching them. Clans of ghostwise halflings once roamed about the forest, never staying in one spot for too long. Various plant creatures also lived here.
The Great Rain in 1485 DR flooded the Chondalwood constantly throughout the entire year, forcing it's surviving inhabitants to relocate to nearby towns.
