Evenmoors

The Evenmoors were once dry and fertile lands, the product of the hard work of the kingdom of Rhest. These lands were made arable by a combination of damns, dikes and canals; an example of what can happen when dwarven engineering and human imagination work together, but when set upon on all sides by a hobgoblin army, the defenders chose to destroy the dikes and damns flooding the lands once again, where once a river flowed around these lowlands, not it flowed through and over everything.

Today, A low, mossy islands of mud and peat periodically protrudes from the marsh waters that are only navigable by raft of canoe. Even so, gnarled trees grow fitfully on the damp  ground, and sprawling their turgid roots as if claiming the islands for themselves.
