Cunning foes, the Blue Abishai are said to be as intelligent as they are brutal. Not much is known of their abilities, but some lore suggests they are souls who have gained favor with Tiamat and had their bodies transformed into draconic devils as a twisted reward. They are said as Tiamat's agents, carrying out her will in the Nine Hells and beyond.
