The College of Defences is the college that many diplomats and important individuals send their children to, in order for them to learn the skills required to be a leader. Things like information that needs to be kept classified from the people, what to say and what not to say during negotiations, how to ride horses, captain ships, and manage other mode of transportation. That is, unless you know about the actual purpose of this college, training spies for the elites in how to better perform their duties. More than half of the schools in the College of Defences are teaching skills useful for people with more unsavoury proclivities. The College of Defences is split into seven different schools, three of which teach diplomats and the elites, and four are better suited for spies and mercenaries.

Due to it's more secretive nature, the College of Defences appears to have the smallest footprint out of all the colleges, taking up four buildings arranged in a semicircle at the end of a distant cul-de-sac. When in actuality, there's a secret staircase in each building, leading down into a basement level that the other four schools occupy. The first top-side building on the right is the entrance foyer area, where there are plush study rooms for the children of diplomats to relax, it's brightly lit and very warm and comfortable.
