Mat'harew

The Creator

During the Era Martial, he was blinded by one of the betrayers, he is almost always shown as a human with cloth wrapped over where his eyes should be. As a creature that can modify his appearance so he is also pictured with masks attached at his belt, if he puts one on, his appearance changes exactly to what that creature or person would look like. The symbol that the Clerics and Paladins use to invoke his abilities are shaped like an icosahedron with a sword stabbing through the centre of it.

Even though he is blind, he always has an open book in his hands, at the front is a golden outline of an icosahedron with a sword depicted stabbing through the centre of it. The book is but a copy of the Tome of Eternal Ruling since the Safigus destroyed the original, but he reads from it, hoping that one day it will heal his eyesight and the Omniscient's mortal wound. His shoulder-length, light brown hair and other features are mainly hidden by his deep purple cloak and hood.

Description

The Creator is a strange deity, originally in the mythos, there were only twelve Prime Deities in the pantheon. That was because all the stories of the gods from the earliest eras were told from the perspective of Mat'harew. He is seen as a storyteller, but also as the head of the Triumvirate, so in the hierarchy of the pantheon, he is both the 'king', but also the Court Bard. In the Triumvirate, he is the leader as well as head of the Sect of Civilisation, he is also the patron god of Nobility and Bards.
