The Planes of the gods can not be seen as it is by mortals. It takes an intellect thousands of years to understand. What lives here is a description that is was how it was described by the ancient gods to their highest priests. Most of this has been lost, but it seems like a reasonable description as all gods of the time described it this way.
A plane of the gods can be thought of a infinite plane of light. All the gods from a pantheon live in this one plane. Each god can change the look and feel of sections of this plane. They can even change the physics of different sections. Mortal, if they somehow ended up on the plane would find it difficult to live in some sections. There is a pipe or tower that connects the many planes. This pipe of tower is typically white or grey in color. There is usually some kind of entrance to the plan to the tower in some way. This pipe can be used to travel from plane to plane. Besides the entrance the only other imperfection on the tower is a what looks like a seam. To modern peoples it looks like an expansion joint running the length of the tower.
This Seam is actually a sub reality that was created by the god Dyrtelanexum in his final death. This has created a reality for familiars and advanced animals through out all worlds.
