Errbeolaus

air-BAY-oh-luss

Name of the world (landmasses included) from the ocean.

They strained with love,

To quench the fire

To seal at last

And from an embrace

Life burst forth

To fill the depths

Errbeolaus wept

At last at peace

-excerpt from an ancient poem describing the creation of life on Errbeolaus

Things that Everyone Knows (whether or not it is true).

Life started in the waters below, and those who decided to move to the land were those who were too weak to live below. Your magic, your traditions, and your peoples are the oldest things that exist in this world, and with that age comes generations and generations of history and happenings long before those who stumbled about above even learned how to walk on two legs. Because of the unpredictability of life in the ocean, parts of that history have been lost. But you have not lost who you are as a people, even in your disparate groups, and there is a strong sense of identity and belonging from the place in which you were born and the very specific knowledge sets that you have as a result.
