Originalyl created by the Tritons, saltsteel is a type of forged metal with special properties for aquatic living. It does not degrade in saltwater, floats if it is let go of without any force to propel it in a direction and becomes extremely brittle if exposed to air for more than a few minutes. Is an excellent material to lay other magical charms into. Generally costs about the same as traditional steel on land, and has a dark, dull coloration.
