A strange planet at the center of the universe, where dimensions overlap and worlds of all shapes and sizes are born. Its natural state, the Chaos Forest, is a primordial soup of ever-shifting trees and impossible beasts, presumed uninhabitable by humanoids. Only those territories under the influence of the Arkana can support life as we know it. These gods of the elements have staked their claim over swathes of the Nexus, shaping the land to their will and imposing their own laws of nature. The mortal inhabitants of the Nexus must live under the rule of their local Arkanum, but it's not as dire as it sounds-- technology has advanced, and armored trains have made travel between these territories possible.
