Lady D'arce

Noble

Lady D'arce is a figure of intrigue and subtlety within the bustling metropolis of Mahabra.

Lady D'arce's reputation in Mahabra extends beyond the confines of her noble status, largely due to her intricate web of connections that spans the city's diverse and complex social strata. Known for her diplomatic acumen and a keen understanding of the undercurrents that move within the city, she is often involved in negotiations that cover a broad spectrum of interests, from trade agreements with merchant guilds to more clandestine dealings with hidden orders and societies that operate in the shadows of Mahabra.

Her manor, an elegant structure that blends traditional Uhra architecture with exotic flourishes, stands as a testament to her refined taste and her family's long-standing heritage. Within its walls, Lady D'arce is known to host gatherings that, while modest, are frequented by individuals from various strata of society, from artists and scholars to merchants and, occasionally, adventurers.

Lady D'arce's life took an unexpected turn when a seemingly trivial matter—a case involving a lost dog—spiraled into a complex investigation that unearthed a clandestine operation involving the illegal importation and exploitation of owlbears. This dark underbelly of Mahabra's otherwise vibrant life was exposed thanks to the efforts of a certain detective, known as "Pint."

Pint's determination and acuity in unraveling the case earned Lady D'arce's respect and gratitude, forging an unlikely relationship between the noblewoman and the detective. Lady D'arce, impressed by Pint's resourcefulness, recognized in her a valuable ally, someone who could navigate the city's shadowy corners with both discretion and efficiency.

Now, Lady D'arce finds herself in need of Pint's services once again. However, the nature of her current concern is such that it demands utmost caution and trust. Thus, she proposes a preliminary task, a "trial" of sorts, not out of doubt in Pint's abilities but as a means to gauge her discretion and judgment under less dire circumstances. This smaller-scale case serves as a precursor to a matter of greater sensitivity and importance, one that Lady D'arce is hesitant to disclose without reassurance of absolute confidentiality and competence.
