Geographical details
The kingdom of Belanna is split in three.
The mainland, Belanna, on which the capital, Colais, is located; the smallest island, Voat'ir, which on new moon spring tides, or Ebb days, can be walked to from Colais; and the offshore island, Zitan.
The kingdom has been at war for hundreds of years with the Kasetha dynasty to the west as the capital of Kasetha, Tenizan, has been growing and naturally crossed the border of the two countries giving Tenizan a grey zone legally in a lot of cases which both nations took offence to but neither wanted to yield their power.
Cultural details
Controlling a big part of the Central Sea, the Belannese are very proud of their seafaring capabilities and are seen as the prime fishermen and navigators of the north. Especially the sea to the north of Belanna is rough with the sheer amount of icebergs and icy creatures who live there, and sailors who can navigate those seas are few and far between.
