City

The city is rather small but has grown due to the three elite universities established there:

Calada University: Arts, Philosphy, Law, History

Vasielli College: Astrology, Math, Nature, Physics.

Mowienqulus' School of Magic, which studies all kinds of magic, be it learned, divine, natural, or raw magic. The school also focuses on the history of magic, and more importantly the refinement and monetization of it. The school is also known as the Penthouse because it was privately funded, designed by an architect, and it is mainly the magical elites who study there.

The Penthouse was the latest addition to the schools and attracted a lot of attention.

Because of the valued knowledge and the fact that a lot of sorcerers flock to the school to understand their magic and it's monetary value, the school is under heavy surveillance to protect the students and the inventory of the school. A lot of the sorcerers studying there also do so under an alias to protect themselves from prosecution but the heavy amount of false names also attract some outlaws who are looking for an easy way out of their troubles. The city is struggling with getting rid of them without hurting the students in the crossfire.

Part of the city council also tries to put laws against sorcerers to inhibit their abilities, social standing, and political power as well as magical power. At the moment, there's still a majority for the protection of sorcerers as people, but this is slowly dwindling.

Sorcerers have a secret language due to their controversial existence. Sometimes written with a magical, otherwise invisible, script, and sometimes written with normal pen and ink with no trace of magic. It is often seen as street art by non-magic users, and actual street art has begun to pop up around the city although there is no meaning to the random letters in it.

The city is thriving based on the rich students who go to these schools and thus come to live and spend their money in town. And there are lots of opportunities to do so.
