Ryan is a charismatic man with a smooth smile. On the street, he'll usually be seen wearing comfortable casual clothes appropriate to the weather. In formal settings, a fine and tailored suit. And in the confines of the Wellness Center that he runs? a nice set of robes that might look more appropriate in a Wuxia story. He rarely goes by his given name anymore, not only because of the danger of sympathetic magic, but also because he is the head of an alternative religious option.
Some might call such an organization a cult. However, they would find themselves getting a politely worded letter in the mail to take up their grievance with the legal definition of Religion with the IRS, that the Sages of Spring religious group is a separate legal entity from the Spring Wellness Charity, and that it would be appreciated if they would use the correct definitions to refer to things and that, after all, it's not like this group is Scientology where they're going to sue you for defamation at the drop of a hat.
That said, in professional environments as well as any endeavors the Free Council gets him up to, he goes by either Sage or Sage of Spring if someone needs to yell at him like a parent saying their kid's full name because they're in trouble.
Noticeable Traits:
Not poor, though not nouvou riche- he wears clean and undamaged clothes, and his gait is one of someone who gets enough sleep and isn't being overworked to death by their job. He does not sport random expensive looking jewelry or what have you though, so it's not like he's flashing wealth at people. This makes him stand out to people begging for cash, because he looks like he probably has some.
Sure Gait: it might be martial arts, or something else, but the way he walks is with the confidence of someone who knows their body.
Shadow Name: Sage, or Sage of Spring
Plot hooks:
Physical Therapy: While this is mostly handled by other people working full time at the Wellness Center, there are times when he will oversee, assist, or be the main person for someone in need of physical therapy at the Wellness Center.
Yoga: Same as above, he will lead a yoga routine or participate with others at the Wellness Center on a fairly regular basis.
Spa: The Wellness Center has a Spa, he can be encountered there.
Alternative Medicine: When people come in with problems that can't be solved by stuff they can otherwise acquire at the Wellness Center (vitamins, physical therapy, massage, spa time, healthy food, etc), then the Sage of Spring will, at the least, provide them with a diagnosis of their condition. If it can be resolved reasonably by conventional medicine, he'll direct them to an appropriate location. But there are rumors that the religious organization has helped people to recover from serious diseases.
Mage Work- The Sage of Spring is known for his expertise in High Speech, and while he is not yet a Master of any Arcana, he makes for a fine addition to any ritual magic.
Academic Credentials- Before Awakening, this man completed his Master's Degree in Physics. He was working on getting a Doctorate, but then he Awakened and his life took a rather different turn. Even so, he could be potentially called upon for that expertise.
