Description

Viktor Drazen cuts an elegant figure, always immaculately dressed in sharp suits that feel timeless rather than fashionable. His eyes are pale and unblinking, carrying both charm and threat. He rarely raises his voice — when he speaks, people lean in to listen. A faint accent clings to his words, a reminder of old Carpathian valleys. He appears to be aging gracefully, but in truth his face has not changed in decades.

Mortals find him magnetic: some see a savior, others a devil. Kindred know better — Viktor Drazen is the hungry lord of Brighton Beach, and even when he smiles, the hollow gnaws behind his teeth.

History

  • Origins: Born in the Carpathians to a family who carried famine and Upir tales in their blood. Emigrated to New York after the war, settling in Brighton Beach.
  • The Embrace: Turned by a Nelapsi sire who saw his hunger and loyalty. His first feed nearly destroyed him, but he learned quickly: if he could not fill himself, he would fill the world with stories instead.
  • Rise to Power: Built his crew during the 1960s–70s, carving out a block that stayed untouched during the mafia wars. Residents swore he could not be killed; rivals whispered he drained men dry in seconds.
  • The Mansion: Reclaimed an abandoned seaside estate and turned it into both fortress and stage. Its parties are legend: politicians, mobsters, and neighbors mix freely, drinking, dancing, and sometimes vanishing.
  • The Fiefdom: Poured Vitae into his neighborhood until the streets bent to his will. Residents see paradise, outsiders see nightmare. Brighton Beach is now both kingdom and trap.

Reputation

  • Among Mortals: “Uncle Viktor,” the man who keeps the streets safe. His parties are coveted invitations. Some neighbors worship him; others fear him. (Advanced Fame 1: The Ghost with Two Hearts)
  • Among Kindred: An independent folkloric monarch. Dangerous, tolerated, and courted. His Fiefdom keeps Brooklyn quiet, but his independence makes Princes nervous. (City Status 2)
