Background
Born somewhere in the wide berth of the Appalachian Mountains, Rowan is an outsider in the City that Never Sleeps. She is largely unknown to mortals, save for those that seek out her slowly spreading mythos. She comes and goes as she pleases, but anything and all that she does is for the Mother's army and to vex the Ashmen. She does not curry favor, nor climb the social ladder in a way that is easily perceived.
Description
She is the neighborhood stray cat. A grimalkin of undefinable age. Beyond her disheveled manner of dress there is nothing particularly attention grabbing about her except for her recalcitrance to interact directly. At least within the confines of the city.
Personality
Rowan is a fickle creature. Slow to make friends or even acknowledge those she considers important. Proximity and body language are more likely to show whether or not she appreciates your existence, at least in public. Her ire however, is unmistakable and she can lash out like any beast when the situation arises.
Roleplaying Hooks
- Survivalist (Vampire): Modern convenience is unnecessary. Rowan can be found just about anywhere. It's not uncommon to encounter her covered in brush or forest detritus.
- Circle of the Crone (Vampires): She is a well known member of The Mother's Army, assuming that she shows her face at all.
- Anonymity 5 (Non-Vampires): No, seriously. Who are you? Why are you here? Where did you come from?
Notable Traits
- Circle of the Crone Status 3: Though she has made little effort to make herself more widely known, she is well respected among the Circle.
- City Status 1: While she wants to avoid detection in most mortal cases, Rowan is at least known to Kindred society.
- Malkin Witch of Brooklyn (Viral Mythology): Rowan presents herself as a streetwise stray with a myriad of tricks up her sleeve. If you question the divinity of an old tabby then by all means, challenge her.
- Off the Grid: Good luck finding Rowan if she does not want to be found. She has made do with less than nothing for nearly a century.
