City Status — Recognition in the Court
City Status reflects how much respect, trust, or fear your character commands within the Kindred of New York.
It represents how useful, reliable, and composed you are in the eyes of the Black Court, the Prince, and your peers.

To Gain City Status:
Serve the city in a visible, meaningful way.
Protect the Masquerade or resolve a major breach.

To Lose City Status:
Breach the Masquerade.

Cause scandal or political instability.
Disrespect higher Status or the Prince.

Each Covenant values different virtues, ambitions, and forms of service.
Status within your Covenant shows how trusted, capable, or indispensable you are to its cause.
The Invictus — The Conspiracy of Silence

The Invictus is the city’s oldest power structure, maintaining the Masquerade through hierarchy and silence. Status reflects reliability, results, and loyalty — not morality.

The Carthians value initiative, collaboration, and practical change. Status is gained by making the Requiem more livable — or more just — for everyone.

“We are the Lord’s monsters. Suffer not the damned to forget it.”
Status within the Sanctified is both religious and political. It reflects zeal, service, and theological insight — the ability to turn damnation into doctrine.

Status is not purchased with XP. It is granted for visible, meaningful, in-character action that advances your Covenant or the city.
To Earn It:
Accomplish something your Covenant would respect.
Have it witnessed or reported to those who matter.
Maintain consistency — one act does not make a reputation.
Let your peers or superiors acknowledge it publicly or politically.
To Lose It:
Fail publicly or endanger the Covenant’s goals.
Betray a superior or damage the structure.
Create scandal, risk, or inefficiency.
Draw unwanted mortal or Kindred attention.
Final Notes for Players
