Sabine is the daughter of Asher Rentari and Sarra Yeshana. Her parents split a number of years ago following a bloody transfer of power that drove a wedge between Asher and Sarra, leading Sabine to be shuffled between her two parents. During her time in the Silver Watch, she latched onto Jorrin, idolizing her for her raw strength and confidence, qualities that Sabine sorely lacked. She is resourceful and clever, using her wits to search for a way to restore magic to the world. It's all her mother wants anyway, so perhaps when that gets solved, her mother will have more time to spend with her instead. Her case is not an uncommon one in Barren Sands, with a broken family and everything to prove.
Thanks to the party's efforts, she has started training in martial weapons and a crossbow, and has started trying to find her own way in this unfortunately cruel world. She has been training with a crossbow, and has been training to wield Jorrin's old maul, though fairly oversized for her. She holds a great deal of anger towards Victorie, blaming her for Jorrin's death even as the party has made amends. The party gave her a choice in Victorie's fate, and after everything, Sabine chose to spare her, saying that to kill her would only waste Jorrin's sacrifice. Sabine has struggled greatly in coming to terms with the death of her hero, the estrangement from her mother, and finding her footing in this cruel, new world. She had a brief fling with Bidi Sungrove, Maisie's apprentice, and has said that if she goes back, she would like to pursue something more with her. For the moment, her fate lies in Crookstone, building her own network of contacts within the Veridian Society and coming into her own.
