Those with fey parentage vary the most in their appearances, more than those with infernal, celestial, or elemental parentage, due to the varying nature of the beings of Aos Sí that inhabited the material plane prior to the Shattering. More than any of the other planes, mages and other inhabitants of Imea had the best relations with beings of the Aos Sí- specifically those of the Court of Daylight. That isn't to say that the Court of Moonlight had an adversarial relationship with mortals, but they tended to be more reclusive, except for mingling among other beings of Aos Sí and their descendants.
They primarily inhabited Imea, residing in clans of their own, alongside druids and those who rejected the higher colleges that resided, literally, in the heights of the trees. Many beastfolk were also in these clans, and many of them were friendly in nature not just between each other, but with the mages in the colleges above.
When the Shattering happened and the devils swarmed into Imea, many of them were killed immediately, with the Aos Sí captured for the devil's own 'experimentation' to attempt to extract magic from their blood, kept alive in torture camps alongside elemental beings (such as Djinn) and celestial beings (Valkyries). Most of them have since fled to the west, to Barren Sands and Crookstone, though some refused to leave their homes, stubbornly in hiding and attempting to evade capture by the devils.
The Fey Courts
Divided into two- the Court of Daylight and the Court of Moonlight. Those of the Daylight are more sociable, aligned with life and light magic. They are more common, and had many clans across Imea, as well as those more curious souls who traveled abroad to lend their services as skilled druidic healers.
Children of beings from the Court of Daylight tended to be more
recognizable and common, including firbolgs, satyrs, and fauns Eeshi
descended from the Court of Daylight primarily have elongated ears,
antlers or horns (softer and more curved
than infierni), tails, and short velvety fur on parts of their body.
Many have goat legs and cloven-hoofed feet, along with bovine-type
tails.
Those of the Court of Moonlight and their descendants are much more nomadic and uncommon, with a natural affinity for death and shadow magic. Attitudes towards them tend to vary based upon the clan one converses with, as there are some clans who have mixed company with both children of Daylight and Moonlight. Those descended from the Court of Moonlight tend to retain the magical appearances, with leaf-like hair and facial features. They tend to be much smaller than those from the Court of Daylight, with lithe, androgynous bodies.
Both Aos Sí Courts and the eeshi were once invited to study at the colleges across Imea. Druids of the Aos Sí have maintained positive relationships with the mages of Imea for centuries, and the ninth seat of the Council of Imea is reserved for an archdruid representative from one of the nomadic clans of Aos Sí.
When the devils invaded during the Shattering, both Courts were endangered and hit hard, with few remaining to the present day. Of the two Courts, the reclusive nature of the Court of Moonlight has granted them some respite in hiding against the devils, though only just. All of those descended from the Aos Sí carry a bitter hatred of the devils for everything they've lost, tragedy unfortunately common among them. The rivalries that once existed between their people have become more obsolete in the face of such peril, and in many ways brought harmony between the Courts, for if an eeshi from the Court of Moonlight finds one from the Court of Daylight on the run from devils, they will hide them away and protect them as their own kin.
