Those with fey parentage vary the most in their appearances, more than those with infernal, celestial, or elemental parentage, due to the varying nature of the fey beings that inhabited the material plane prior to the Shattering. More than any of the other planes, mages and other inhabitants of Imea had the best relations with beings of the fey- specifically those of the Court of Daytime.
Children of beings from the light fey tended to be more recognizable and common, including firbolgs, satyrs, and fauns. They primarily inhabited Imea, residing in clans of their own, alongside druids and those who rejected the higher colleges that resided, literally, in the heights of the trees. Many beastfolk were also in these clans, and many of them were friendly in nature not just between each other, but with the mages in the colleges above.
When the Shattering happened and the devils swarmed into Imea, many of them were killed immediately, with the full-fey beings captured for the devil's own 'experimentation' to attempt to extract magic from their blood, kept alive in torture camps alongside elemental beings (such as Djinn) and celestial beings (Valkyries). Most of them have since fled to the west, to Barren Sands and Crookstone, though some refused to leave their homes, stubbornly in hiding and attempting to evade capture by the devils.
The Fey Courts
Divided into two- the Court of Daylight and the Court of Moonlight. Those of the Daylight are more sociable, aligned with life and light magic. They are more common, and had many clans across Imea, as well as those more curious souls who traveled abroad to lend their services as skilled druidic healers.
Those of the Moonlight court are much more nomadic and uncommon, with a natural affinity for death and shadow magic, they are shunned by their Daylight kin, choosing to practice amongst themselves and revel in solitude.
Some fey and half-fey of both courts have been invited to study at the colleges across Imea. For those of the Moonlight, where their abilities were oftentimes scorned by their kin, they found refuge in finding a place where their abilities were encouraged and given room to grow. Some found the restrictions of a college stifling, and chose to live on their own.
When the devils invaded, both Courts were endangered and hit hard, with few remaining. Of the two however, due to the natural, more nomadic and hermit-like nature of the Moonlight Fey, they have managed to maintain their numbers more than the Daylight Fey, amidst the invasion of devils. Both carry a bitter hatred of the devils for everything they've lost. The rivalries that once existed between their people have become more obsolete in the face of such peril, and in many ways brought harmony between the Courts, for if a Moonlight fey finds a Daylight on the run from devils, they will hide them away and protect them, and vice versa.
