Pact-born may be more easily translated to a Hexblood.
From Old Irish "damán allaid" which literally means "wild fawn" or more
abstractly "fierce little creature". His name in modern irish literally
means "the spider". Damh means "Deer".
Stolen away by an Archfey at a young age, Damh has lived the majority of
his life in the Fey Wilds. Passed on by this demi god to be raised by a
Satyr, and more accidentally, a pack of Blink Dogs. He would join hunts
with them to kill evil creatures such as Displacer Beasts. Through his
barbarian class, he has connected with them deeply and has learned some
of the ways they control the weave.
It was during their mid-teens when the Archfey would contact them again.
The Archfey explained that if they wouldn't join a pact with her, she
could rip apart his pact-born soul on the spot...Not that she wanted to,
though.
Damh now wanders the material plane. He left his Fey Family without
saying goodbye, for he feared the Blink Dogs reaction of his patron, of
his choices. Now he seeks a Half-elf created with what appears to be
high magic that for whatever reason, is of interest to his patron.
