Silvershield, taken into the noble family of Silvershields long ago,
is an ambitious Blood Hunter who seeks to seek out and eradicate the
evil in the world - and, in turn, become an example for the rest of her
kind. Her family ties are long since separated - still, she hunts the monsters of the world, desperation to bring honor to her family and to her people turning her into a monster herself.
She holds secret feelings of complicated longing for Lolth and her unknown biological family.
Hawthorne's first memory was of being brought back from the dead by a powerful spellcaster in Baldur's Gate - human adventurers having supposedly rescued her discarded corpse from the Underdark after she, as a young child, was killed by another drow.
She was taken in by the Silvershields - a powerful family in Baldur's gate - who desired to raise her as their own. In an attempt to prove their purity and goodness, they wanted to turn a drow into a "model citizen." Her early life was spent surrounded by expectation and admiration, and she eventually left home to pursue her goals. Since then, been away from home, having lost count of the years going by.
