Living in the rich part of San Fransisco, the Lowell family is made up of the two quite rich parents Deborah and Chris Lowell, and their four adopted children. There's a distinct lack of love in the house, and many of the interactions between parent and child come off as superficial and for show. While the kids needs aren't neglected, there's very little else that isn't neglected.
Deborah Lowell (she/her) | Mother
Coming from a family who's money has been grounded in business, Deb has always lived a rather intense, social life. She's trained her whole life to be a smiling, alluring figure that can be cutthroat when she needs to, and to be able to survive when thrown to the sharks. The sharks being rich CEOs and sons of their father's companies, of course.Deborah has never been a very maternal figure, but loves to act that way for the public.
Donald "Don" Lowell (he/him) | Father
Don has been fully entrenched with his studies in medical science ever since he had the ability to do so. He's the inventor of a new technology in regards to some medical science stuff, which brought a lot of popularity and credit to his name. It was through this that he met Deborah, and the two... Didn't exactly hit it off? Deborah certainly liked him though, and seemed very determined to get into his life. He had no real qualms, and let it happen. They have a weird dynamic with very little love, though they work well together.John Lowell (he/him) | Oldest (23)
John can pass as rather "normal". He can be pretty snarky, and doesn't take much seriously, and tends to rely the most on his guardians. He's very much given up on trying to earn their affection, though he won't deny that he does want it. But, you win some you lose some, right? John sure thinks so. He's pretty neutral about his siblings, but is close with Keziah. He was adopted at a very young age after being given up by his birth parents, Evi and Gerald Pensak, who could no longer afford to take care of him. John got in touch with them a few years ago and has a good relationship with them.He owns ants. He loves them.
