A former hideout used by Fade and his troops. The location was given away by the bandit that had been captured. By the time anyone was able to extract it from him and travel there it had been burned down in an attempt to hide any evidence. However a note was found ground into the dirt within the abandoned hideout. It is heavily burned, but the following can be made out: "Our Good Friend has provided key information on ... x collec ... Monkey ... route between ... vulnerable to ambush ... troy all evidence."
Additionally a scrap of cloth was found, apparently the remains of a worn, old tenugui. It too is badly burned, but what remains shows a repeating motif of an unfamiliar mon. Further investigation revealed it to be the personal mon of a minor lord of the Crab Clan, Hiruma Hayato, who has been dead for about a year. He perished under suspicious circumstances, but nothing could ever be proven.
