Hayate's chief assistant. Respected by the younger monks, he leads many of them in physical training.
A former member of the criminal gang "The Storm Dragons", he always keeps his hands and wrists wrapped to cover a tattoo of a blue dragon on his left forearm. He has since rejected his criminal past and come to the temple in order to make a new life for himself and atone for his past misdeeds. Even so, it is a long and difficult process and his brusque, confrontational attitude still shows through at times.
He was especially close to and protective of Aiko, viewing her as a little sister.
