As a child, Konoko wanted to be a bushi. Her parents, horrified at the notion, sent her
to train as a shugenja. Konoko was patient and learned to do as she was told, but still
studies bushido and communicates with long-dead warriors.
After the first day of competition,Hitoshi became drunk and wouldn't leave her alone. She tried to brush him off with a contest to collect gifts from each of the great clans, but after talking toAkodo Tadashi about the issue, her clansman was able to talk him down.
