SHIGEKO'S DOSSIER: The ronin called "Dove" is something of a conundrum to me. She works as a yojimbo (bodyguard) for hire, and apparently is quite proficient at her trade. On two separate occasions she has killed heimin - one member of the Strong Arm Firemen and three Fire Eaters (G12). She claimed the Strong Arm was threatening a merchant she had been hired to protect (He has since relocated far downstream to Garden Under Shadow city.) In the second instance, she said the Fire Eaters had made violent advances.
No one knows much about her past; she herself will say only that she was hired by the Crab for work in the Shadowlands - and that it was her experiences there that turned her hair white.
Has become Emily Stark's yojimbo, humbly offering her services due to Akodo Tadashi's handling of the cartels. She was eventually taken into the household as a retainer after she refused payment. They have become quite close.
Making discreet inquiries into Dove's background eventually led to Gate who knows her well from when she used to be a common sight in the Licensed Quarter. She notably has always been unwilling to discuss her experiences in the Shadowlands. What Gate knows personally is that while in Ryoko Owari she had developed an opium habit. Impressively, however, she was able to overcome this, something that very few manage to do. So far she has been clean for at least a year and given no indications of relapsing.
