Steel Scale Armour

An advancement on steel lamellar divergent to splint armour, the plates on this armour are curved, allowing them to deflect strikes better, and interlocked to prevent gaps forming and allowing the attacker to simply strike through the holes. These armour pieces are backed with a gambeson with sections of chainmail to protect the gaps better.
