The young son of Afzal Jabbar, Faiz was heavily doted upon by his father (of whom he is the only son). His conception was apparently assisted by Moirin Mhic Macdha, and his mother Muneeb Jabbar died in childbirth - this is later revealed to have been part of the magical ritual by Moirin.
After his father's death at the Duel at Stubborn Rock, Faiz is raised by his father's first wife Fatiyah Jabbar and her daughter and Faiz's half-sister Aaliyah Jabbar, with assistance his father's old friend Erastos Ironhoof and his wife Dimitra Ironhoof who look after his father's Shimmersword until Faiz is of age to wield it.
