B'Rt, a low ranking Troll Bridge Association Official is summoned to the town of Bm'Fuk to correct a discrepancy around a will. It seems the local Troll Bridge Association branch has been ignoring gifts made late in life, and claiming the 100% death tax on individuals, based on the statement of Naeemah and some members of a Hooded Hand Church in town.
Chronologically it follows the events of A Gathering Storm and is followed by Beneath the Mountain.
