Peacebringer was the coronation sword of Saint Virion II Quinnlee, the last King of the First Kingdom of Tir, and is a shortened steel rapier with lapis lazuli inlaid into the distinctive handguard. The young Virion only ever intended it for ceremonial use, and its name is a direct reference to him wishing for an end to the Imperial Wars, something that did happen in his reign but not in the way he hoped.
Following Virion's death, Peacebringer was taken by the Imperial forces; the fact that the Empire did this is something of a point of contention in the Tiran populace, and Oglaigh na Tír have a tendency to use it as a symbol of Imperial persecution. It was mounted on the wall of a little used conference room in the Imperial Palace and promptly forgotten about. It is regularly seen by cleaners and people who use the room, though its significance is largely forgotten as the plaque accompanying it went missing shortly after it was installed there 200 years ago, and it is only moved to clean the wall behind it.
