The Shortcrusts are a family of bakers in the Halfling Shires, especially known for pies. They branched from the Crust family after two brothers quarrelled over the best kind of pie crust.
Known members include Cayden, the creator of Cayden bread, and Nina, who appears in A Short Story. Nina’s disturbing use of her slain enemies in cooking is peculiar to her.
