Overview
“Princess”, as she is known, is an elderly Halfling who became locally infamous after being abducted by a Dragon that was “farming princesses” to supply other dragons. The same Dragon is rumoured to have settled in the mountains overlooking the village afterwards, supposedly after a stern chat with her. She is known to have long opinions on the actions, and attitudes of Dragons.
Appearance & manner
She is slightly bent at the waist, which makes her shorter than the average Halfling woman, and she often prefers to sit. She has a thin face and deeply wrinkled skin.
Habits & priorities
Her favourite drink is Burne sherry, and she makes sure the Brambleberry Pie is always well stocked. These days she rarely wanders far from the pub, mostly walking to the local butcher or bakery (often with her beloved dog Unknown). Her pleasures are simple—good food, a full cellar, and a quiet seat near the hearth—but she has a stubborn streak that people underestimate.
Family & home
She is "Mac" MacFaren's grandmother, living in a room above the Brambleberry Pie.
In A Short Story
During the events of A Short Story, Princess and Mac give the Short Campaigners a quest to bring back truffles from the Ent Forest for an upcoming feast.
