Dex is a Captain in Duke Erwen de'Valice's army in the events of Tale of Tir and Nox, Part II. He is assigned to the baggage train under the command of Qau-dibab-āy'ḥāk-āy'āda, where he participates in several confrontations and assists in organising the division after they are split off from the main army. He was given a +1 Longsword from a golden armoured Death Knight slain by the party in their first meeting with Marial Quinnlee-Tailor.
Dex is a Wood Elf of House Murtagh, and primarily features alongside his cousin and closest friend Conchobhar "Con" Murtagh. Dex is described as being tall and lean, with a long drawn face and long dark hair pulled back into a ponytail. Next to Conchobhar "Con" Murtagh, the pair present a study in contrasts, though both are relatively young for elven standards.
