Daemon flesh is tissue taken from a daemon summoned into physical form. Its colour, texture and durability vary with the creature, so the name describes an origin rather than a single uniform substance. Samples may resemble hide, muscle or fatty tissue, but none are mistaken for the remains of an ordinary animal by anyone familiar with them.
The material is used in forbidden spellwork and in alchemical preparations whose makers have little concern for law or safety. Obtaining it requires either conducting or surviving a summoning, and such rituals are rumoured to rely heavily upon rhodochrosite. With no lawful market, daemon flesh changes hands through cults, illicit collectors and desperate practitioners.
