Blodwen is a Tiran Army scout who joins the party as a Subclass - Scout Rogue in Tale of Tir and Nox, Part II.
Background
Blodwen was born in the small village of Lludhach to the northeast of Slát. She was born to an unmarried mother, who claimed her father was a passing Tiran Army soldier named Bryndyn. Due to high elven arrogance and snootiness, Blodwen and her mother were treated as outcasts in their village for her birth outside of wedlock, with her mother resorting to a variety of unsavoury professions to keep them afloat. When she was strong enough to draw a bow, Blodwen resorted to poaching to supplement their food and income, and quickly developed a skill for the weapon.
Blodwen was just a couple of years shy of adulthood when her mother died of a fever, likely related to the pox. Nothing remained for her in Lludhach, save for a few leering men who hoped she'd take up her mother's profession. Cutting her hair short and taking up arms and armour, Blodwen followed her father's example and enlisted for the next recruiter that graced Lludhach. Her forestry and archery skills learnt through years of poaching quickly got her seconded to the scouts. There, her rapid advancement and recognition quickly earnt her enemies with jealous members of the section, resulting in a late night brawl and Blodwen's nose being broken, which set poorly due to her own insistence on refusing medical treatment as she did not want to turn her attackers in.
Since then, Blodwen's efforts to trace her father in the Tiran Army have been largely unsuccessful. It seems that either Bryndyn was never a member of the army, his records were expunged, or he went under another name when he met Blodwen's mother. Blodwen refused to believe these eventualities, believing Bryndyn was a member of some elite or secret regiment, or that his records were lost due to the Tiran nation's incompetence. This tough life has given Blodwen a deeply layered personality - terse and quiet at first, and confrontational to those who irritate her; but tender to those who work their way into her trust.
Appearance
Blodwen is a young adult High Elf, with a thin, almost scrawny physique, but a slightly above average height. She is considered unattractive for a high elf, both by nature and choice. Her face is squarish, with small deeply set eyes and a naturally puckered mouth, and she keeps her sandy brown hair short in a military style. Her nose is crooked from having been broken and set poorly, and one of her front teeth is chipped badly. Usually she wears thick travelling leathers, hardened and studded for durability, and a thick brown cloak. She wields the traditional elven longbow, as well as a rapier that rumour has it she pilfered from an officer.
