Step 1: Designing Your Character
Start by creating a character. Consider the following as well:
- Characters currently start at Level 5 with 270 gold pieces(OR magic items of the following levels: 4th: 1, 3rd: 2, 2nd: 1, 1st: 2 and 50 gold) to purchase items of common rarity and of this level or lower.
- Free archetype is allowed.
- You must play an adult respective for your chosen ancestry. Your character must be mature both physically and mentally.
- Your character must be from the Homeworld.
- Do not play a character that intentionally creates situations that can lead to other characters' failures.
- If an option has the Uncommon, Rare or Unique tag it requires World Manager approval before it can be selected.
- Poppet (ancestry) and Exemplar (class) are not currently allowed.
- Brainstorm. Bring your ideas to the World Manager (WM) team in your character thread! We'll help you fit your character into the world.
- Fill out a character sheet! We recommend using Pathbuilder 2e and Archives of Nethys to guide you, especially if it's your first time. If you get stuck, feel free to ping the WMs or go into the #character-workshop thread for guidance!
- Run the '/character register' command in your character thread to start playing!
Step 2: Signing up for Jobs
- Keep an eye on the #job-board channel for new postings. New jobs are posted once a day, and ping you when they're posted.
- Wait for the team announcement in the #gather-your-party channel. You will be pinged if selected.
- Attend the game!
Step 2.5: Participating in RP
- Introduce your character! The tavern hall is a great place to start
- Feel free to jump in in public scenes! Private scenes are "bracketed" by emojis.
