Known as the Mother of Secrets, the Grand Librarian and the Keeper of Trials, Archaea can be found where all things are silent and hidden. She is most popular among the Lesser Sphinx population, who she is said to resemble, but her shrines can be found wherever knowledge is kept and protected.
Her followers believe that all knowledge should be shared with those willing to seek it. Their temples are libraries, generally with three sections: one for worship, one for a public collection, and one for delicate or restricted works, though temples of Archaea in small towns may combine one or all of those sections. The older or more established the temple, the more cluttered and cramped it tends to be, as Archaeans are extremely passionate about collecting knowledge and usually keep journals, which are often turned over to the library temples upon their death.
An
inquisitive but tempestuous goddess, she is as likely to test her
worshipers as she is to lead them to success. She rarely intervenes
directly in worldly affairs, preferring instead to leave a trail that
can be followed by the clever among them.
