To Walks-Softly-in-Lost-Places,
I hope this report finds you well. Our team — Laurie, Rold, Sieluk, Zizi, and myself — arrived in Somnara to investigate the disappearance of Otter from camp. After gathering intel and tracking leads, we were directed to an abandoned GoBI warehouse. There, we discovered Otter and a GoBI representative trapped in a sealed room filled with poisonous gas.
We were forced to engage hostile entities — a swarm of ghostly figures and a tall, lanky, razor-toothed green creature. Both were neutralized. While we successfully freed Otter and the representative, most of us, myself included, sustained a fair amount of damage from the gas exposure.
During the aftermath, several key findings emerged:
- Otter and the GoBI agent were investigating the warehouse due to its suspected connection to the cranial devices referenced in earlier reports.
- Evidence strongly suggests that rogue GoBI operatives and the Syndicate are collaborating to mass-produce these devices. The representative confirmed a link between the Lacrima outpost incident and this warehouse.
- The devices are evolving. The green creature we fought had a recently implanted cranial device. It seems to be more advanced than the the others the Navigators came across. Sieluk was able to retrieve it for study.
- Blueprints found on site outlined both construction details and supply lines for these devices. Materials are being sourced from a city called Bomoi.
What began as a search-and-rescue turned into a operation revealing something much deeper. I recommend heightened vigilance for future reports on this matter, especially with Bomoi as our next point of interest.
Additional Note: The construct Truth has been missing since the Blood Moon event. Its status and location remain unknown. Navigator personnel should be alert for any activity or clues tied to its disappearance.
Incidentally, one of our companions, Rold, took in possession of a gemstone that has the mark of Andrealphus during our investigation. This is something to keep in mind in case it pops up.
Best regards,
Apsu
