1. Species

Tabaxi

Tabaxi, also known as cat-men, are a feline humanoid species native to the continent of Maztica. They are a reclusive species who often do not interact with other sentient species; however, they are also eternally inquisitive, always searching for stories, artifacts, lore, experiences, or knowledge to learn secrets previously unknown to them.

Feline Agility

Tabaxi reflexes and agility allow them to move with a burst of speed. When they move on a turn in combat, they can double their speed until the end of the turn. Once a Tabaxi uses this trait, they can’t use it again until they move 0 feet on one of their turns.

Darkvision

Tabaxi can see in dim light within 60 feet of them as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. Tabaxi discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Cat's Claws

A Tabaxi can use its claws to make unarmed strikes. When they hit with them, the strike deals 1d6 + the Tabaxi's Strength modifier slashing damage, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
